Dunlop saw mill conveyor belts are especially developed for the transportation of sawdust, planks, bark, etc.
The rubber used in these belts is non-staining and has been formulated by Dunlop rubber technicians to provide first class resistance to the oils and resins found in the wide variety of woods currently used in the timber industry.
The carcass consists of at least two layers of fully synthetic Polyester fabric (EE). The advantages of EE fabric are that it is impermeable to moisture, has low elongation and high tensile strength.
Dunlop sawmill belts are made to order in widths up to 2000 mm, supplied as standard uncoated or with 1.5 mm top and 0 mm friction backing for slider belt applications. Other thicknesses are available on request. Two different classes of oil resistant coatings are available, ROM (animal and vegetable oils) and ROS (extra resistant to mineral oils, high concentrations of vegetable oils and resins). Both Dunlop ROM and ROS oil resistant rubber also have excellent abrasion resistance. In addition to being resistant to ozone and UV (EN ISO 1431), it provides a much longer working life.
