are the strongest and most reliable sergeant bands available today.
Unlike most other manufacturers, Dunlop profiles are molded and vulcanized together with the base tape in one continuous production process. This results in a single, homogeneous band structure that is much stronger than bands with individual sergeants. Another important advantage is that this combined strength allows smaller pulley diameters to be used.
At ground level, ozone is a pollutant. It increases the acidity of carbon black surfaces and causes reactions to take place within the molecular structure of the rubber. This leads to surface cracking, a significant reduction in the tensile strength of the rubber and ultimately a shortened service life. Unlike the vast majority of our competitors’ products (especially those originating from the Far East), all original ‘MADE IN NETHERLANDS’ Dunlop tapes, including chevron tapes, are fully resistant to ozone and ultraviolet radiation according to EN/ISO 1431. This is another reason why Dunlop tapes provide a much more cost-effective working life.
Standard profile widths range from 400 mm to 1600 mm depending on the profile type. Dunlop ‘super strength’ sergeant bands are available in RA (high abrasion resistant) and ROS (mineral oil resistant) grades. Other coating grades are available on request. All Dunlop sergeant bands are supplied with molded edges.
There are two serge height sizes to choose from – 16 mm (low serge) and 32 mm (high serge). The 16 mm high profile is typically suitable for smaller part sizes and conveyor angles of 20 to 25 degrees. For larger part sizes and steeper slopes, the 32 mm high sergeant profile will provide the best results. Dunlop Superfort ‘super strong’ sergeant belts can handle everything from light duty applications to the heaviest, toughest materials and the most demanding working environments.
The Dunlop Rufftop non-slip profile surface is well suited for transporting individual products and packages on steep slopes.
An extremely durable, high-grip surface that is particularly effective where steep gradients are involved.
It is commonly used for transporting individual items and packages, especially where steep slopes can cause slipping.
Other coating qualities are available on request. All Dunlop sergeant bands are supplied with molded edges.
