The conveyor belt consists of the carcass, which is a central core, and the cover, which is a protective coating
Textile Carcass Conveyor Belts
Textile carcasses for conveyor belts work with different Technical fibers such as polyamide, aramid, basalt, glass fiber or cotton to give different mechanical properties required by customers. These fibers are woven into different fabrics as per the requirement. The most common weaving configurations for fabrics are Plain, Oxford, Monoply, Straight warp, Leno weave, Square.
The fabric tensile strength range is 60-800N/mm and at the same time the carcass tensile strength range (several fabrics together) is 250-4500 N/mm. In addition, the carcass can be reinforced with textile breakers or metallic breakers to protect the set against impacts or cutting. Also, the carcass can be reinforced with polyester monofilament fabrics or metallic breakers to give rigidity to the set.
